The Silent Heros Project is being done by students who work to further their understanding and apprieciation of World War II soilders. Throughout my research this project has impacted my view regarding World War II. Looking at it through one soilder's experience and following his life has made me understand how this war affected each individual person during this time. It makes me better appriciate the society I live in because of the hard work and dedication of World War II soilders. The sacrifice of fallen soilders has shifted my perspective on gratitude. If I could talk to Nathan Baskind I would first thank him for his willing service and sacrifice. I would also ask, what compelled you to enlist in the army and what was the scariest moment in your experience? In my research, I found the most important source was ancestery.com. It gave me many logistical documents with personal information as welll as old pictures and family background.
